This license applies to all music and sound effects purchased from Visionary Eight on Itch.io.
✅ Commercial use: Yes. ✅ Number of projects: Unlimited projects released by you or your own studio/team. ✅ Trailers/ads/marketing: Yes. ✅ Editing: Yes (cut, mix, layer, effects, format conversion, etc.).
Client / contractor work
If you create games for clients (freelance / work-for-hire), you can’t buy once and then reuse the same purchase across future client jobs.
- Each client game/project needs its own purchase (either you buy it for that specific client job, or the client buys it).
Sharing / resale
❌ You may not resell, re-upload, or share the audio files as standalone assets (even if edited). ✅ You may include the audio inside your game build when you distribute your game.
One rule that covers most edge cases
❌ Don’t use the audio in anything that lets other people extract or reuse it as assets (example: asset packs, templates/starter kits, soundboards, mod kits).
Attribution
Attribution is not required. However, if you would like to credit Visionary Eight in your game credits, store page, documentation, or other project materials, you are very welcome to do so.
